KMA moves headquarters to Spartanburg Print E-mail

SPARTANBURG -- KMA Global Solutions has announced it will move its North American headquarters to Spartanburg, a $1 million investment that will bring 25 new jobs to the area. The Canadian company produces and distributes source tagging solutions for retailers, packagers, vendors and manufacturers worldwide.

$15 million 'Project Mesh' to be unveiled today Print E-mail

MAULDIN -- The wraps will come off today on an economic development project, code-named "Project Mesh," that would add 150 jobs in Greenville County. The Greenville Area Development Corp. said that a start-up operating here since 2004 will announce in Mauldin this afternoon its plans to occupy an upfitted 120,000 square feet of space as part of its anticipated $15 million investment.

Sign maker investing $5M to move, upgrade Print E-mail

COLUMBIA -- Colite International’s global success is leading the West Columbia-based sign maker to move to new location in the Carolina Research Park off Farrow Road. The company will invest more than $5 million to relocate and upgrade its equipment, according to Marty Brown, the company's chief executive officer.

FedEx hub could ship 470 jobs to Upstate Print E-mail

GREENVILLE -- FedEx is considering the Greenville-Spartanburg area for a new ground hub that could have 470 jobs and $110 million in investment, a company spokesman said Friday. Locations in Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Guilford County in North Carolina also are being considered.

Net income falls for Spartanburg's Denny's Print E-mail

SPARTANBURG-- Denny's Corp. reported Tuesday that its net income fell during the second quarter because of declines in customer spending and the sale of some company-owned stores to franchisees. The family-dining chain earned $3.2 million during the quarter, down from the $10.6 million the company made during the same quarter last year.
