MYRTLE BEACH -- Think you'll visit Hard Rock Park more than three times in its inaugural season? A season pass might save you a few bucks. At $150, the season pass for the rock 'n' roll theme park, scheduled to open in May, costs $12 more than three $46 day passes.

COLUMBIA -- Hotelier Rick Patel is planning a 28-acre development at Two Notch and Clemson roads, cater-cornered with the Village and Sandhill, that will include a mix of hotels, restaurants, retail and fitness facilities. The development will also include the first Gold’s Gym in the Sandhill area.

HILTON HEAD — The Hospitality Association of South Carolina predicts a staffing crisis in resort areas, including Hilton Head Island, next year if Congress doesn’t keep the pipeline of seasonal overseas workers open. At issue is the returning worker provision of the “H2-B” guest worker program, which allows seasonal workers to come into the country each year to take jobs that local workers cannot be found for.
