GREENVILLE -- With a sale of the company not likely soon, Bi-Lo's chief executive officer said Thursday the Mauldin-based grocery store chain will concentrate on reinvesting in its operations to strengthen its presence in the Southeast.

SPARTANBURG -- An empty field along East Main Street, the site of the former Lan-Yair Country Club, is stealing thunder from Centro Property Group's multimillion-dollar renovation of Hillcrest Shopping Center's Specialty Row. CPG, an international retail investment company that owns Hillcrest, began redeveloping Specialty Row in February with plans to draw in national tenants.
