MYRTLE BEACH -- The Myrtle Beach Community Appearance Board has approved plans for a new building to house shops at Coastal Grand Myrtle Beach mall.

Forest Acres area watching restaurant business boom Print E-mail

COLUMBIA -- The Forest Acres area is becoming a new restaurant row. The Five Guys hamburger chain will be putting a restaurant at the site of the Exxon station at Trenholm Plaza. That's expected later this year or early next year.

CHARLESTON -- South Carolina might be on the verge of getting its first Apple store. According to Apple’s Web site, it is recruiting workers for a retail store on King Street.

Greer experiencing record retail sales Print E-mail

GREER -- Gross retail sales in Greer increased from nearly $341 million in 2002 to more than $538 million in 2006, according to the state Department of Revenue. Much of that was driven by Wade Hampton Boulevard's commercial pipeline, where a number of new retail establishments are under construction, said the Greer Development Corp.
