COLUMBIA -- Andrea Pelzer has joined First National Bank as an administrative loan specialist at the office in Columbia.

CHARLESTON -- American Media Services has promoted Frank McCoy to president and CEO, effective Jan. 1. He succeeds Edward Seeger, who will become AMS chairman. McCoy has been with AMS since 1999 and in his current post heads the company's technical department. Current COO Andrew Guest will become vice chairman and current Chairman Jim Fort will segue to chairman emeritus.

Midlands -- The Better Business Bureau of Central South Carolina and Charleston has additional members to its board of directors: Edward McDonnell, managing attorney, McDonnell and Associates; Richard Mitchell, president and CEO, Carolina Comfort Inc.; and Len Ross, broker-in-charge; Russell and Jeffcoat Realtors Inc. The bureau also has promoted Chris Hadley to director of operations and Betty Benjamin to member relations and retention, and hired Liz Jamison as dispute resolution analyst.
