CHARLESTON -- BB&T has promoted Craig W. Hopkins to assistant vice president. Hopkins, who joined the bank in 2004, was a financial center leader in BB&T’s Banking Network on Meeting Street.

MYRTLE BEACH -- Fuel Interactive, a South Carolina advertising agency, has hired Pete DiMaio as director of business strategy. DiMaio will assist Fuel Interactive’s clients in the development and management of effective, results-driven interactive campaigns. Prior to his work at Fuel Interactive, DiMaio served as an interactive account manager at Brandon Advertising and Public Relations.

LOWCOUNTRY -- Southcoast Community Bank has promoted Lynda Boals to assistant vice president of the Johns Island office and Marc Knight to branch executive of the Goose Creek office. Boals has been with the bank for six years, and Knight has eight years’ banking experience.
