The S.C. Republican Party is expected to announce today that it is rescheduling its primary to Jan. 19, 2008, in response to the state of Florida’s decision to challenge the Palmetto State’s status as the first-in-the-South primary in next year’s presidential contest.

BARNWELL COUNTY -- Elkay Cabinet Division is planning to locate a manufacturing facility in Barnwell County. The cabinet manufacturer will invest more than $12 million and expects hiring will begin sometime in 2008, with total employment reaching about 300 by 2009.
