SCBIZ magazine presents its third annual list of Who’s Who. This list is different from what we have published the past two years. In the past, we wanted to feature the movers and shakers in a wide variety of industries statewide. But what we discovered, besides the fact that there are many talented people working to improve the quality of life and work in this state, is that there were too many to list. We resorted to random selection, which, while effective, still did not do justice to the dynamic talent in our state.

This year, we decided to focus on one industry at a time and, in the following pages, we present the Who’s Who in Economic Development in South Carolina.

Let the record show that, even though we narrowed our focus, there were still plenty of people involved in economic development efforts who we were not able to include or who did not respond to our request for information. But, we do believe that what we’ve offered here will provide an effective snapshot of those who are leading the aggressive economic development efforts in our state and the great accomplishments that have already been achieved.
