Adhesives firm to add 15 jobs at Woodruff site

WOODRUFF -- National Adhesives will expand its hot melt adhesives production in Woodruff with a new factory expected to add about 15 jobs when it is completed in 2008, the company announced Thursday.

Wal-Mart brings more business

LEXINGTON -- First Community Bank president Mike Crapps said he knew more business would come to Red Bank. In the year since Wal-Mart announced plans to open a superstore in the rural Lexington County community, the Lexington-based bank has seen loans at its branch — mostly commercial — double and deposits have climbed 31 percent, Crapps said Wednesday.

Builder halts Inlet home work

MURRELLS INLET -- Troubled home builder Levitt and Sons has halted construction at all of its home projects across the Southeast, including tne retirement community in Murrells Inlet, a spokesman for its parent company said.
