'Daylight Saving Bug' strikes |

Just when we thought Y2K was a non-event for the history books. Check out this story from the Associated Press about a warning from Microsoft that users of its calendar programs should double check all appointments for three weeks in March and April.
It seems the problem is the result of software that was programmed prior to 2005 when Congress moved daylight-saving time three weeks ahead (why? energy savings). Microsoft has tips on its Web site for dealing with the "Daylight Saving Bug" and instructions for manually changing your clock.
Although, I'm thinking this might be the best excuse of all for missing that staff meeting.
