GREENVILLE -- Greenville will become North American headquarters for redi-Group North America LLC, which expects to create 250 jobs over the next five years, the S.C. Department of Commerce and the Greenville Area Development Corp. announced.

“We are pleased to locate our new U.S. headquarters in Greenville. The area provides an excellent business environment, a solid workforce and is close to our clients,” said Christian Reitmeyer, president of redi-Group North America.

“Greenville is truly an excellent fit for our company. We appreciate all the support we’ve received from state and local officials.”

Officials said redi-Group offers services to automotive companies and has more than 3,000 clients worldwide. The company provides expertise from start-up management to certification, and plans to offer its entire range of services, including the Emergency Task Force, to customers in South Carolina, plus the U.S., Canada, Mexico and South America.

Germany-based redi-Group is a large provider of quality assurance and quality management services. It operates several facilities in Germany and abroad. Customers of the redi-Group include automobile makers such as BMW, Daimler, Porsche, VW / Audi.
