COLUMBIA – Nominations will be accepted through May 29 for the fourth annual Best Places to Work in South Carolina program.
The competition is dedicated to identifying and recognizing South Carolina’s best employers and is open to all South Carolina organizations with at least 15 employees working in South Carolina.
“The state’s business community wishes to honor our best workplaces, which are vital especially in a struggling economy. We are proud these businesses call South Carolina home, helping our state compete in the global marketplace,” said Otis B. Rawl Jr., president and chief executive officer of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce.
The program is sponsored in partnership by the S.C. Chamber of Commerce, the Society for Human Resource Management-SC State Council and SC Biz News, the publishers of SCBIZ magazine, the Charleston Regional Business Journal, the Columbia Regional Business Report and GSA Business.
Winners will be announced Oct. 8 during a recognition event sponsored by Nexsen Pruet LLC. Sponsorships are still available for this event.
Competition categories include small-sized (15-24 employees), medium-sized (25-249 employees) and large-sized (250 employees or more) companies. The small-sized category was added for the 2008 search to accommodate the growing number of small companies in South Carolina.
