The Columbia Metropolitan Convention & Visitors Bureau has been
chosen a Pinnacle Winner, as voted by meeting planners, for "going
above and beyond to impress the demanding clientele of meeting, event,
convention and incentive planners with unwavering commitment to
hospitality and service."
The winners will be celebrated in the official Pinnacle Awards Registry
published in the August 2007 edition of Successful Meetings Magazine.
The Columbia CVB is on track to generate more than $13 million in
economic impact for the Columbia Riverbanks Region by booking meetings,
conferences and conventions and more than 45,000 room nights for area
hotels and meeting facilities in the community.
The CVB is also a central source of information about the region, with a comprehensive Web site
that attracted more than 80,000 unique visitors in the month of March
and a Regional Visitors Center, serving travelers and fulfilling
information requests. The Visitors Center is located inside the
Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.
