Staff Report COLUMBIA -- Columbia Metropolitan Airport is offering travelers frequent flyer miles when they park at the airport. Travelers will be able to automatically earn one mile for every $1 spent when they park at Columbia Metro and fly with one of five major airlines — Alaska Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, US Airways and United Air Lines. The airport is offering its new rewards program in conjunction with Republic Parking System and Thanks Again, a company that allows small local businesses to participate in national loyalty and rewards programs. Register online or text “CAE” to 20123. The airline miles are above and beyond any miles that consumers may already earn on an affinity credit or debit reward card. In addition, each qualifying Columbia Metro parking purchase counts toward special bonuses under the nationwide Thanks Again traveler loyalty program. Members can earn up to 4 miles per dollar spent within the Thanks Again network. Each 90 days, members who spend at least $250 within the network can qualify for 500 bonus miles, those who spend $500 can receive 1,500 miles, and those who spend $1,000 can earn 4,000 miles. |
