While our desks hold our computers, a calendar, papers and file folders, many desks (usually of the female variety) are showplaces. My desk, for example, is covered with photos of my dogs and my husband. I have a typewriter notepad holder, a turtle made of coal, a stress ball and a variety of nifty desk organizers. A new study shows my desk is full of something else--germs.

This study reveals the keyboard and mouse on a woman's desk have more germs than a man's. And a woman's desk drawer? Yikes--it's seven times more germy than a man's.

OK, men, don't start smirking just yet. It seems men carry a pretty germy item around all day--their wallets. Here's a great quote to go along with that little germ--errr gem---of information: “The wallet is right next to the rear end, which is the greatest incubator of germs.”
