New CEO named at Colleton Medical Center

WALTERBORO -- Trident Health System has named Mitchell P. Mongell president and CEO of Colleton Medical Center, effective in October.  "We are pleased to have a leader with Mitchell’s energy and experience to assume the CEO position at Colleton Medical Center. Mitch will provide the guidance required to continue delivery of excellent patient care in Walterboro and surrounding communities,” said Bernard Warshaw, chairman of the board of trustees. A native of the Pittsburgh area, Mongell received both his undergraduate degree in health services administration and master’s degree in business administration from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. Most recently, Mongell was CEO at Specialty Hospital Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Fla.
