PORT ROYAL -- The South Carolina Budget and Control Board approved a contract allowing the S.C. State Ports Authority to sell the Port of Port Royal to an undisclosed buyer within five months for about $26 million. The board, which signs off on state land purchases and sales, voted 3-0 to approve the contract.
