Upstate hiring to increase

GREENVILLE -- Greenville employers expect to hire at a brisk pace in the first three months of 2008, according to Manpower Inc.'s quarterly Employment Outlook Survey. The global staffing firm said that 33 percent of the companies it interviewed in the Greenville market anticipate hiring more workers from January through March, while 7 percent said they plan to reduce payrolls. Fifty percent said they would keep staffing at current levels while 10 percent said they are not certain of their hiring plans.
