SPARTANBURG -- Frances Fortenberry, 77, of Spartanburg has reported to work at the same plant every day for the past 35 years. A couple of weeks ago, Fortenberry was given a pink slip along with 18 other employees at INA USA Corp.'s manufacturing plant on New Cut Road. INA USA, which makes ball bearings and engine components for Schaeffler Group, its Germany-based parent company, has cut 70 jobs in Spartanburg since August.
