SPARTANBURG -- The University of South Carolina Upstate plans to build a $26 million business and economics school facility in the central business district, a project touted to boost downtown redevelopment and facilitate business majors' interaction with the business community. Construction should be finished by December 2009 on the three-story, 44,000-square-foot building to be located next door to the Chapman Cultural Center.
