No. 8 Large Company: Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands Print E-mail
goodwill-industries.jpgEmployees at Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands have a chance to contribute to a greater good and are genuinely committed to helping people change their lives. And when those changes occur, the employees are inspired.

The employees provide job training, placement and education for people with disabilities and disadvantages to help them become independent.

Additional workplace benefits include a health and dental care plan; a 401(k) retirement savings plan with a company match, available to employees who have been with Goodwill at least a year; and paid holidays, vacation, sick time and personal time, for employees who have been with the company at least six months.

A corporate trainer is on staff to provide development and training in key areas to all employees. Employees have embraced the opportunity to improve and refresh their skills, learning about everything from computer software to customer service.

“Most of all, Goodwill is fun,” said Crystal Y. Hardesty, director of marketing and public relations. “We have a great camaraderie throughout the organization, and sincerely care about each other and enjoy working together. That can make all the difference in the world.”
