Rosenfield Einstein knows that if its employees think and act like owners, they will be more committed to the company. So, Rosenfield Einstein treats all employees like owners by sharing company profits with them.

Through equal profit sharing as well as bonuses, Greenville-based Rosenfield Einstein rewards its people for “having done all the right things,” said Bob Keiger, executive vice president.

The company also focuses strongly on wellness programs for its employees, offering health risk assessments, smoking cessation programs and Weight Watchers.

“We care about everyone’s health as much as anything,” he said.

Employees also are encouraged to participate in professional development programs and continuing education. For example, the company will pay for employees to take classes toward professional designations.

Keiger said about one-third of Rosenfield Einstein’s employees are engaged in some kind of continuing education.

The firm, which assists clients with employee benefits, flexible spending account administration, property and casualty insurance, workplace safety consulting and financial planning, provides its employees with 401(k) matches and a wide variety of insurance benefits plans.

“The work environment the (owners) created is conducive to people wanting to stay,” Keiger said. “It’s the best work environment I’ve ever been in.”
