Sponhour obtains business communicator designation |

SOUTH CAROLINA -- Michael Sponhour, director of public affairs for the South Carolina Budget and Control Board, has earned the Accredited Business Communicator designation by the International Association of Business Communicators. The associations accreditation process measures the strategic abilities and technical skills of a communicator, and is a critical step in a communicator’s career growth. Sponhour manages media relations and communications for the 1,200-employee Budget and Control Board. Previously, he was a reporter for The State, where he worked for 10 years.
