Santee Cooper unveils view of coal-fired plant |

MONCKS CORNER -- Santee Cooper has unveiled a rendering of its proposed 600-megawatt coal-fired facility to be built in Kingsburg, called the Pee Dee Energy Campus. The rendering of the facility shows the major pieces of equipment, space allocation and environmental control technology, according to a press release issued Wednesday by Santee Cooper. After Tuesday, the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control will no longer be take public comment on air quality concerns regarding the plant.
