COLUMBIA -- CMARK International Inc., a leading provider of logistical and facility support to federal government institutions headquartered in Columbia, announced that its bookings of contract awards for the calendar year 2007 was slightly more than $17 million, an increase of 290% over 2006.

The company entered 2008 with a backlog in excess of $9 million.

The company credits the 290% increase in contract awards in 2007 to product and infrastructure development over the past two years.

"The company's growth and development in facility support included significant design build renovation projects in California and South Carolina along with several food service equipment and interior furnishing projects throughout the United States, as well as select government installations in Asia and Europe," said Charles W. Jones, Jr., president and CEO of CMARK.

In addition, the company has completed financial restructuring transactions that have allowed investment into its infrastructure of six operating offices, expanding its product offering worldwide to U.S. government activities and prime contractors.

As a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, CMARK International adheres to the federal goal of 3% of all U.S. government contracts for supplies and services be allocated to SDVOSBs.
