Wayne Adams’ work as a brand strategist began more than 25 years ago with the agency’s first client, QS/1, now an industry leader in pharmacy technology. Adams has since helped shape communications for business-to-business and consumer-focused companies across dozens of industries. In 2006, Wayne established the firm’s proprietary Pulse360 initiative that conducts quarterly polls of health care decision-makers to assess consumer perceptions and trends. He is an adjunct professor at his alma mater, the University of South Carolina. Adams also has been awarded the Order of the Palmetto, South Carolina’s highest civilian honor.

W. Lee Bussell serves as senior counselor to a number of the agency’s clients including Ometric Corp., Innovista, Central SC Alliance, Sonoco and the S.C. Civil Justice Coalition. Bussell’s honors include New Carolinian of the Year, Public Relations Practitioner of the Year for South Carolina, Distinguished Alumnus of the USC College of Mass Communication, Distinguished Alumni Award for Leadership Columbia and the Columbia Chamber of Commerce 2007 Ambassador of the Year. He is also the recipient of the S.C. state chamber’s 2007 Business Leader of the Year award. Bussell has been an active participant in the state’s business community and recently completed a term as the chairman of the S.C. Chamber of Commerce and as chairman of the S.C. Business Alliance for Transportation. He is also serves as chairman of the board of Biowatch Medical and sits on the board of the Hollings Cancer Center and the Columbia Fuel Cell Collaborative.

Bruce D. Murdy joined the firm in 1987 and rose to become a partner in the newly named Rawle Murdy in 1990. He has helped create an environment of dedication, creativity and fun. The integrated marketing firm’s more than 60 staff members work on a number of regional and national brands, including South Carolina Parks Recreation and Tourism, Piggly Wiggly Carolina Company, Circle K convenience stores, Orient-Express Hotels, Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation, South Carolina Aquarium and Wild Dunes Resort.
Peter Wertimer

Peter Wertimer and his partner, Larry Jones, purchased ASA in 2003 and have been making a new company out of an old company ever since. ASA has 15 employees and billings of about $12 million per year. Wertimer served as chairman of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce and as president of the Rotary Club of Charleston, The Charleston Symphony and The Advertising Federation. Previously, Wertimer had a career in the music business as a concert promoter and a product manager at Columbia Records. He was involved with Billy Joel, Aerosmith, David Bowie, Genesis and The Grateful Dead.
