Morris begins prison

GREENVILLE -- Former Lt. Gov. Earle Morris Jr. was taken into custody Wednesday to begin serving his 44-month sentence for defrauding investors of a Pickens-based investment company. Agents took Morris into custody and transferred him to the Kirkland Reception and Evaluation Center in Columbia.
