GREENVILLE -- The state House Ways and Means Committee moved a proposal to extend indefinitely the state's endowed chairs program to the full House. The $30 million-a-year program funded through state education lottery revenue has a $200 million cap and is slated to end in 2010. The proposal amends current legislation to remove those limitations.
