BEAUFORT — Seabrook Classics , a Beaufort-based furniture company focused on a high-end line of coastal, cottage-style furniture, has acquired Southport Furniture, a similar resort-style furniture company that offers fewer custom options and finish choices to allow for a lower price point.

Greg Bosiack, president and chief executive of Seabrook Classics, said the acquisition of Southport Furniture enables his company to reach into new markets and provide customers with a variety of price points.

Southport Furniture is currently available throughout the country and distributed by more than 200 retailers.

Seabrook Classics is available through more than 100 high-end retailers and designers. The Seabrook Classics collection features all-wood, painted furniture exhibiting Lowcountry elements such as coastal motifs.

Southport Furniture will debut with Seabrook Classics March 26 at the spring 2007 High Point Market.
