Bo Mitchell

Bo Mitchell's star is rising. The 12-year-old South Carolina native is living a dream as TV and movie roles that fit his stocky, boyish profile are coming fast and furious. He was recently introduced to a national primetime television audience as "Doodie" in the premier of ABC's "October Road."

Bo has been modeling and acting since he was nine months old and has owned his own business since he was eight years old -- he even battled city zoning laws to keep it running.

Bo's aptly named business, Hollywood's Tropical Sno, is a snow cone business in his hometown of Aiken. The business has three locations and one mobile stand, more than 100 flavors and employs about 15 teens every summer.

Pretty accomplished for a 12 year old, but Bo is just getting started.

Although Bo will be a series regular on "October Road," he remains in demand as an actor in other venues. This month Bo heads to New Orleans for a role as a one-eyed orphan in the movie "Bolden." The film recounts the life story of jazz legend Buddy Bolden, whose life ended in an asylum in 1931. Shooting for the film will take more than six months in New Orleans and Wilmington, N.C.

His experience as an entrepreneur brought him to the attention of "American Idol's" Simon Cowell, who is producing a show titled "Little Big Shots." Six kids billed as "corporate turnaround specialists" consult with a struggling restaurant in Los Angeles. The show's cast was hand picked by Cowell himself.
