Marketing and recruiting coordinator, The Citadel Graduate College
Education and volunteerism are a strong part of Katie Gibson’s life. She has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the College of Charleston, a master’s certificate in project management from The George Washington University/ESI International and is pursuing a master’s in social sciences from The Citadel Graduate College.
As the marketing and recruiting coordinator for The Citadel Graduate College, Gibson promotes the college’s various degree programs, creates catalogs, brochures and newsletters, attends recruiting fairs, serves on campus-wide organizations and works with The Citadel Alumni Association and The Citadel Foundation.
In the community, Gibson is a volunteer for the Cooper River Bridge Run in coordination with the Lowcountry Chapter of Susan G. Komen For the Cure, The Lowcountry Pet Fest, The Charleston HarborFest and Habitat for Humanity, and participates in the Breast Cancer 3-Day, benefitting Susan G. Komen For the Cure.
Gibson is actively involved with the S.C. Episcopal Cursillo community and is an active member of The Church of the Good Shepherd in West Ashley.
Personally, Gibson said her goal is to “be the best person I can be and to do the work that God has planned for me.”

Best stress reliever: Walking and playing with my dog.
