Principal, Aio Design LLC
As owner of a graphic and Web design firm, Tiffany Jonas is eager to assist other small-business owners in their entrepreneurial efforts.
She founded a local chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners as a way to support women business owners in their mission of success. Each month, she meets with entrepreneurs attending the Kauffman Foundation’s FastTrac NewVenture courses, discussing ad layouts and evaluating their current marketing materials.
Professionally, as principal of Aio Design LLC, Jonas designs Web sites, logos, ads, brochures, banners and a host of other marketing materials for her clients. She also handles the ownership duties of managing staff, billing, insurance or financing issues.
“Design allows me to use my whole mind/person — I use certain strategies in my designs to meet business objectives (the left brain) while being able to focus on creativity, aesthetics and sensations at the same time (the right brain). For people who are even-brained, it can be challenging to find a profession that is fulfilling both logically and creatively. For me, design is it.”
Books on your nightstand: “The Age of Turbulence” by Alan Greenspan.
Favorite music artist/musical genre: It varies! These days I’m listening to lounge (Frank Sinatra, etc.) and piano music.
Favorite restaurant: Coco’s Café in Mount Pleasant.
Best stress reliever: Reading something completely unrelated to my source of stress in a hot bath.
Favorite vacation spot: Northwest France.
