Director of senior services, Roper St. Francis Healthcare
Elizabeth Hood Willis’ passion for the elderly spans both her work and personal lives. Willis is responsible for planning, developing and implementing the programs, services and initiatives focused on the senior population of the Roper St. Francis Healthcare system.
In the community, Willis is president of the Lowcountry Senior Network, a grassroots organization for senior services providers, and she is a member of the board of trustees of ITN Charleston Trident, a new transportation network for seniors and the visually impaired.

Their patience, wisdom and experiences left a strong imprint on me and influenced my decision to pursue a career focused on senior citizens.”
Person you would like to meet: Queen Elizabeth.
Favorite vacation spot: Sullivan’s Island.
First job: Legislative aide for former state Rep. Jimmy Bailey.
Favorite hour of the day and why: Giggle Hour. This is the time of day that I leave my professional life behind me and family time begins. After changing out of my work clothes and before getting supper on the table, I totally focus on our two young girls either jumping on the trampoline, coloring, reading or cuddling with them.
