The construction projects springing up all over the Charleston area have brought plenty of business growth to Weatherholtz Masonry LLC. The building boom, coupled with Weatherholtz Masonry’s relationships with general contractors, suppliers and vendors, has resulted in significant growth for the company.

“The volume and rapid growth of construction in this region has afforded Weatherholtz Masonry more opportunities than in the past,” said R.E. “Ernie” Weatherholtz III, company president and CEO. “It’s not only the number of jobs, but the size and complexity of the projects which we have undertaken that have further afforded us the opportunity to perform more masonry work.”

Between 2005 and 2006, Weatherholtz Masonry’s revenue increased 32%.

Keeping an eye on its mission statement and its core values of safety, quality and production, Weatherholtz Masonry is able to maintain its success.

“The company’s mission statement is to ‘provide quality masonry work while empowering the lives of our employees.’ We believe that the most important resource any organization has in its arsenal is human resources, and we strive to take care of our employees,” Weatherholtz said.

The company offers its employees a range of benefits, including health and dental insurance, disability and accident insurance, a retirement plan and anniversary bonuses for loyal employees.

In addition, Weatherholtz Masonry has developed relationships with the masonry community, allowing it to hire seasoned and experienced managers, journeymen and masonry support personnel.

“People knowing their jobs and being able to perform is critical to our success now and in the future,” Weatherholtz said.
