Acceleration Sports halts operation in Spartanburg |

SPARTANBURG -- The Acceleration Sports Institute in the $22 million, four-story Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas building at 1650 Skylyn Drive has abruptly closed. Members arrived at the institute Monday, looking forward to working with trainers, but were surprised to be met with a note posted on the gym's door.
