Gas prices steer SUVs to Columbia trade-in lots |

NORTHEAST RICHLAND -- A consumer shift toward smaller cars with better gas mileage has brought a nationwide trend home to a Honda dealership in Northeast Richland. “People are trading in Suburbans, Expeditions and Tahoes. We’re getting 30 to 40 SUV trade-ins per week,” said Brent Ferrell, used-car manager for Midlands Honda at I-77 and Killian Road. “A year ago, maybe we would get 10 (a week).”
