CHESTER — JRS Custom Fabrication will locate a new manufacturing facility in Chester County. The $3.5 million investment is expected to bring 150 new jobs to Chester County, the S.C. Department of Commerce and Chester County Development Association announced Tuesday.
“JRS Custom Fabrication Inc. is a Florida-based business that has experienced explosive growth. Approximately 50 percent of current business comes from Florida-based clients and the other 50 percent comes from other states in the Southeast,” said Greg Linton, President, JRS Custom Fabrication.
“This location in Chester, allows the company to fully develop the opportunities in Florida as well as properly serve customers throughout the Southeast. The company operates as a for-profit business but considers itself a ministry,” he said. “Coupled with the availability of buildings, the current employment rates, the exceptional efforts of Chester leadership, and the calling to do God’s work in Chester, the decision was easy.”
The new facility will be built in the Chester Industrial Park. It will be the first new construction in the industrial park in 20 years.
“I am very excited that JRS has selected Chester County as the home of their new facility and about the fact that they are first industrial client to build a new facility in the Chester County Industrial Park since 1986. Their decision to invest here proves that Chester County is a competitive location for those companies that wish to be centrally located in the Southeast,” said Carlisle Roddey, Chester County supervisor.
JRS Custom Fabrication is a designer and manufacturer of custom sub-base fuel storage tanks with UL142 listing, trailers, weatherproof enclosures and related components, for the power generation industry. JRS Custom Fabrication is headquartered in Ocala, Fla.
