MYRTLE BEACH -- A new Wal-Mart Supercenter will be built off of U.S. Highway 501 in the Carolina Forest area outside  Myrtle Beach. It is scheduled to open in the spring of 2009 and will be the anchor store in Myrtle Ridge Crossing. There will also be four junior anchor stores and specialty shops.
