GREER -- In the wake of BMW AG's recent announcement of a 33% slide in second-quarter profits, the company reported Thursday global sales in July rose 2.2%. Drivers of the positive sales figures were the X Series vehicles produced in the Upstate -- the X5 and X6 -- as well as the 1- and 3-Series models and the Mini.
