SPARTANBURG -- KMA Global Solutions has announced it will move its North American headquarters to Spartanburg, a $1 million investment that will bring 25 new jobs to the area.

The Canadian company produces and distributes source tagging solutions for retailers, packagers, vendors and manufacturers worldwide. The source tags are used by retailers to keep track of inventory and prevent theft through the use of electronic article surveillance.

“South Carolina offers a skilled work force and excellent business environment, which will help our company as it grows. KMA Global Solutions is pleased to make Spartanburg our new home in North America. We appreciate all the support we’ve received from state and local officials,” said Jeffrey D. Reid, CEO of KMA Global Solutions International.

“KMA Global Solutions is an innovator and an internationally-recognized leader in the source tagging industry. The company’s decision to locate its North American headquarters in South Carolina is a positive reflection of our state’s business-friendly climate, strong work force and ready and available industrial property. Thanks to the efforts of local and state officials, Spartanburg will benefit from this investment,” said Joe Taylor, Secretary of Commerce.
