Out-of-state startups pick Clemson University |

CLEMSON -- Two high-tech startup companies from out of state are leasing space from Clemson, drawn by the university's focus on advanced materials. The arrival of StormRider Technologies Inc. and Gulf Fiberoptics Inc., both out of Florida, marks the first time that out-of-state startups have been recruited to Clemson's Advanced Materials Center in Anderson County, said Vincie Albritton, the university's special assistant for business innovation and technology transfer.
