Bluffton may grow state's first large green community Print E-mail

BLUFFTON -- Bluffton may be the home of the first large-scale, certified green community in South Carolina. The town's Planning Commission on Wednesday night unanimously approved annexing about 98 acres. If that annexation and plans for the land are approved by the full town council, developers would build 68 homes using closely-monitored, environmentally-sound standards. Council gave preliminary approval to the annexation request last week.
