GREER -- The X5 SUV remains the hottest model in BMW showrooms. The automaker said Wednesday that U.S. sales of the X5 soared 32.2 percent in August, even as the German brand's overall sales were off 4.1%. With BMW's Mini brand factored in, the company registered a 1% increase in domestic sales from August 2007.
