GREER -- Greer officials say the city's landscape will change over the next 10 years as a result of an increased population, more affordable housing and a strong economic development effort. The city has grown from about 5,050 residents in 1950 to about 26,040 in 2008, according to the state Budget and Control Board's Office of Research and Statistics.
