U.S. Foodservice cutting nearly 240 Upstate jobs Print E-mail

GREENVILLE -- Foodservice Inc. said Monday it would close its distribution center on White Horse Road by Nov. 9, leaving 175 people out of work, and eliminate another 68 positions at a regional support office in the Brookfield Corporate Center in Mauldin. The Columbia, Md.-based company, the nation's No. 2 food service provider, will continue to operation six other distribution centers operated by its chain-restaurant division, North Star Foodservice.
