Atlanta company gets $17.4 million contract with DSS Print E-mail

COLUMBIA -- Providence Service Corp. said its LogistiCare subsidiary, the nation’s largest coordinator of nonemergency transportation services, has been awarded a contract by the state of South Carolina to provide transportation services to the state Department of Social Services for 28 counties under the state’s Family Independence Program.

Services under the contract, valued at $17.4 million annually, should begin Nov. 3, and the contract contains annual renewal options that run through Oct. 31, 2012. The award is subject to finalized contracts and various processing procedures and should be additive to earnings in 2009.
